It’s that time of the year again, Sydney Etsy Made Local markets are just around the bend!
This year Sydney Made is teaming up with the lovely folk at Brewery Yard for a market that is set to be our biggest, bestest, most sooper-dooper market yet! These markets will be a chance for Sydneysiders to celebrate all things handmade and meet local crafters, collectors, artisans and designers fromEtsy.com.
We’re excited to announce our talented stallholder line up for the event.
We had an overwhelming number of high quality applications and have narrowed it down to over 65 fantastic sellers (trust us, it wasn’t easy).
On top of celebrating some of our finest makers, collectors, artisans and designers in Sydney, there’s also an extravaganza of delicious food trucks, entertainment and workshops.
Etsy Made Local is a nationwide event featuring Etsy sellers all over Australia. From Melbourne to Brisbane to Adelaide, the Etsy community will come together (in their respective cities) to promote independent designers and locally made goodies, just in time for Christmas.
Here at Sydney Made, we believe in doing good and finding a silver lining in every cloud. That’s why we’re so excited about the #makeforgood campaign!
11 October was International Day of the Girl, a global effort to ensure a world free from discrimination for young women and girls.
Just a week on, the #makeforgood campaign is well underway and raising funds to create a silver lining for girls living in poverty.
If you haven’t already heard about #makeforgood, here’s the deal. It’s an awesome collaboration between Etsy and Plan International to raise funds for Plan International’s Because I Am A Girl initiative. At least 20% of the value of each item featured in the #makeforgood collection will be donated to this very worthy project.
We’re loving the different ways that Sydney Etsy sellers have interpreted the theme “a silver lining for girls”!
